What this does and does not show
Press releases already follow a rigid, decades-old template (announcement, quote, availability), so a formulaic tone alone tells you little about whether AI was involved in drafting. The measurable pattern in the sample above is the near-duplicate phrase "ongoing commitment to," used in the first two sentences with different objects (innovation, then quality). Wire-service style guides generally discourage that kind of restated boilerplate regardless of who or what wrote it.
If you edit press releases for a newsroom or communications team, running a draft through the repetition and sentence-variation checks before distribution is a useful proofreading step on its own, independent of any question about AI drafting tools used earlier in the process.
